Adventures

Today was seriously amazing. but before we get to the at, last night was awesome. WE went on the Jack the Ripper tour and it wasn’t all that was cracked up to be but we got to go to the bar where he met his last victim. It was such a cool bar with antique stuff all around it. The walls looked like faces. It was crazy. We met some scottish men and they ended up buying us drinks. It was crazy how nice they were. In retrospect, I think it was a good look at how nice people would be to Americans.
Today, we went to the British Museum and West Minster Abbey. Seriously two of the most breathtaking things. The British Museum was first and we got to see some of the most amazing parts of history. We saw a greater look into Egypt where they had real mummies. Also, we got to look at Greece and that whole culture. We also got to see the Rosetta Stone which was truly amazing. WE had to follow a tour guide for most of the time but in our spare time we checked out Africa and China. It’s amazing to me the culture of this City and the culture of the people who came before America was even a thought. The  quad ( now including Eddy) decided we had to go back again.
Eddy got lost though, we left him at the museum by accident. oops. Maybe he needs a leash we joked. Anyways, the Abbey was next and let me tell you, I got chills going tup to it. The West Minster Abbey was truly amazing. There was so much history. We learned about all the kings that were buried there and also the other amazing people that were there such as Oscar Wilde. It was amazing to see what kind of history went into the building of The Abbey. It was also cool to know that Catherine Middleton had just walked down that aisle and gotten married.
That afternoon, we went to Camden town. This was the quad’s favorite part of London so far. So much culture was involved. It was like walking into a big hot topic. There was so much culture, but different culture. There were so many different shops and places to eat. I loved it. We went shopping for a bit and then hung out with Dr. Browning, Dr. Gerlich, and Lori.
We ended up going back to Nido for a bit before leaving again. We went back to Camden town and found a really cool rooftop bar. The view was incredible. We overlooked the river and other really cool spots of town. Then we traveled to Old City where we went to the plastic people club. There was this really cool dubstep band playing there and we went and danced the night away. We met some amazing British people who cracked us up the whole night. The people are hilarious if you get to know them and they told us they love when people smile at them. so problem solved. It has been an amazing trip so far. Tomorrow we venture to Stonehenge and Bath and I can’t wait for the other adventures at bay. Cheers!!!
