So Many New Opportunities

I ”m taking a break from my London blog to write real quick about recent events. Since I got back to canyon, i’ve been so busy. I started my internship with Top O’ Texas football magazine and I love it. My boss is awesome and the girls I work with are all really funny. 

I design pages for football teams around the panhandle area and make ads on the pages. It’s a lot of long hours and staring at a computer but it’s nice to see a finished product. It’s really good experience. In the last 2 weeks I feel like i have become a pro at photoshop, Quark, and researching for the advertisements. It’s awesome to see all sides of  Advertising and sales. 

Although I was already working 45 hours, i decided to apply for an internship with the Amarillo Bulls. It’s a sports marketing internship that is being run apprentice style. We are divided into teams and have to complete certain tasks. Interns will be eliminated as the games and season are in play. I was so excited to get picked and we have 7 other interns working with us. 

Today we had our first meeting and got to really see what it is going to be like. We are going to get business cards and market ourselves along with the Bulls brand. We will get to go to community events and help plan game night promotions. This is all so exciting and such great experience. I’m so happy to be working in two different areas of the Industry. 

           I’m so excited to see where the future is taking me and these next months are going to be hard work but I’m so ready to see what is in store from these opportunities!
